With Barrisol it is easy to transform a poorly lit room, quickly and cost effectively, into an architectural showpiece.

​Pot lights, chandeliers, and  track lighting can easily be incorporated with any of the Barrisol colors and finishes.

You can also create custom lighting with Barrisol's translucent finishes. The translucent membranes can be backlit with white or colour change LEDs to create custom lighting, signage, and ceiling accents.

​By changing the lights behind translucent Barrisol® (via a dimmer switch or colour change LEDs) one can easily change the hue and ambiance of an entire room.

When back lighting, to achieve an even glow, we recommend that the LEDs are positioned the same distance apart from each other as they are from the Barrisol membrane. For instance if the lights are 8" from the Barrisol membrane we suggest that the lights are positioned 8" on center. If they are 1' from the membrane then we suggest they are installed 1' on center. Offsetting the ends, if possible, for larger ceiling areas is also helpful to eliminate any cold spots. This formula may need to be adjusted slightly, as the output of LEDs varies, but we find that this is a good starting point and usually works very well to achieve an even glow.

For all translucent Barrisol ceilings (except wall applications) we recommend adding a Barrisol dust shield, which is installed approx 2.5" to 3" above the visible membrane. This will help to eliminate the visibility of any dust/bugs that may settle on the ceiling.
