FLASHBACK FRIDAY: UBC Aquatic Centre

In 2016, we completed this vertical and translucent Barrisol application, designed to create a "screen" effect between the two pool areas.

Barrisol stretch ceilings are mold resistant, water impermeable, and help to improve room acoustics, making them an excellent choice for aquatic centers and residential pools.

We are proud to say that after 10 years, no service or maintenance calls have been requested. Barrisol ceilings are truly an excellent long term solution for the harsh environment of swimming pools.

Wine Room - ARTOLIS Print

This West Vancouver wine room features the Emily Carr painting Big Raven, printed on the Barrisol's Artolis wall fabric. Thanks to the Vancouver Art Gallery for their work providing the graphic file. We look forward to a continued relationship with the VAG to bring your print projects to fruition. This wine room was part of a larger home renovation.

Ben is an invaluable member of our team completing both Woodworks home renovations and Barrisol stretch ceiling installations.

He has a big smile and heart, can rock a Hawaiian shirt, is an excellent athlete (hockey & golf to name a couple) and enjoys cooking. He recently gifted us homemade dill pickles from a family recipe! Fantastic.

Ben's generous and kind-hearted spirit adds a brightness to our team. He is always ready to lend a hand and a smile.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY - Now and Then

THEN: Mike Peacock shortly after his initial Barrisol training in 2002 (they nicknamed him the Canadian Rocket!) and one of our early Buildex Vancouver booths to help promote the Barrisol stretch ceiling system. We won best booth in 2011.

NOW: Mike, this year in our new 2600sqft workshop space. We are fast approaching 25 years in partnership with Barrisol and look forward to many more years of interesting projects to come.
